Connector type
The connector type can be used to distinguish our products for installation in a device housing from cable parts. The connector type describes the difference between connectors that are mounted on enclosures and connectors that are mounted on cables.
Gender
A connector consists of the male part (pin) and the female part (socket). Depending on the design, the male or female part is either permanently installed or are located at the end of a cable.
Number of contacts
This indicates the number of contacts the connector has.
Version
The choice of version allows the definition of certain technical specifications – for example the type of cable outlet or the size.
Locking Type
The locking system describes how the pin and socket elements are joined.
Rated voltage
The rated voltage is the electrical voltage assigned to the connector.
Rated current
The rated current is the electrical current that is assigned to the connector.
Degree of protection
The degrees of protection according to IEC60529 apply to various articles and provide information on protection against the intrusion of water and solids such as dust.
Shielded Option
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) means that a connector is shielded or shieldable. This is required when it is necessary to protect the signals or data conducted by the connector, as well as to protect external devices, from disturbance due to electromagnetic effects.
Material of housing
Depending on the area of application or requirements, connectors are made of different materials. We offer metal and plastic housings for our items as the housing material.
Coding
The connector elements, pin and socket, must be brought into form-fitting alignment with one another (coding) before locking. This prevents mismating.
Termination
The termination type determines how cables, single wires or PCBs can be joined with the connector.

RJ45 connector

In the modern networking systems RJ45 connectors are a well established component facilitating the transmission of data across a variety of devices. binder’s double-ended RJ45 connectors are designed for reliable Ethernet IP and PROFINET data transmission. RJ45 cable connectors come in different cable lengths and with different industrial ethernet cables such as Ethernet CAT7, CAT6a or Ethernet CAT5e.


RJ45 cable


binder’s RJ45 cable connectors are shielded, achieve protection class IP20 and are available with 4 to 8 contacts. The double-ended ethernet cordsets are also available in different versions such as M8 D-coded to RJ45, M12 to RJ45, M12 D-coded to RJ45 and M12 X-coded to RJ45.
